Gideon Elfgen

BIO

Gideon Elfgen is Marketing and Communications Manager at WOMEX and Piranha Arts, based in Berlin, Germany. WOMEX is the world’s biggest professional music conference, trade fair and showcase for Global, Roots, Folk, Traditional, Local and Diaspora music – an annual Europe-based event. He is in charge of the overall marketing and communication at Piranha Arts and several of its’ projects and events. Gideon studied Interdisciplinary Studies of Latin America and has worked and studied abroad in Mexico and Costa Rica. His work experience spans across many creative fields including film production, working as a freelance videographer, and last but not least as a saxophonist of different ensembles.
