Barna Petrányi

With an economics background, Barna served as the controlling director for Sziget Ltd., a renowned regional outdoor festival organizer. Later, as the manager of Cie Pal Frenak, a Hungarian-French choreographer’s company, he founded Pro Progressione. This socially engaged creative hub serves as a vital connection between Hungarian independent art organizations, artists, and international collaborations. Barna has held board positions in the Association of Hungarian Independent Theatres and the advisory board of IETM, and since 2019, he has been a board member of MitOst e.V.
